No Cash

Just 43 days to go now. Seems like a good time to remind you that we're making a big change in our beverage tents this year. No cash accepted. We'll be taking tickets only which will be conveniently sold all over the place and will purchasable, if that's a word, with your credit card. That means for water, beer, soda, wine, all the stuff we sell in our beverage tents. It does NOT mean food sold by outside vendors or your t-shirts, caps and whatnot in our merch tents. They'll still take your greenbacks.

We think this will significantly speed along your quest for a drink, since the making of change will be eliminated. And we think it's a big improvement over our original concept announced back in April.

Of course we also thought Pants Free Friday was a good idea, so what do we know?

I have aready started the Pants Free Friday, however the neighbors and my co-workers are not as enthusiastic as I am. I love the idea of the beer tickets. Can I buy them with my credit card? How big are they? Will I need a wheelbarrel to haul them around the festival or will they fit in my pocket. I sure don't want to put them in the wife's purse, she'll use them and next thing you know she is dancing in the fountain.

I once shot a hole through a beer ticket, just to watch it die.

Blasphemy, I say!

As Beverage Queen I appreciate you offering up another reminder of our new ticket policy- HOWEVER, I am personally offended by that "I'm Dan and I'm so clever, hahaha" graphic you got there. Johnny Cash, God rest his genius soul, is to never, EVER, be depicted with a great big ol crossy-outy thing across his mug.

Now where’s my whiskey? I need a liquid hug……
