Looking Ahead, I Hope

When some of the Irish Fest directors were at the Celtic Colours Festival in Nova Scotia last October, we saw a concert by the incredible Scottish singer/songwriter Dougie MacLean. As it happened, the next day I ran into him in the little town where we were staying. We talked for awhile and I tried hard to get him to Irish Fest this year, but sadly it wasn't to be. Fingers crossed for next year. Anyway, I woke up this morning with this song in my head and I wanted to share it with you. We'll optimistically call it an Irish Fest 2009 preview.

Thank you Danny that was great. He truly is a must for the Irish Fest. Truly a nice guy on top of being a great talent. He was on my must have list for 2008, damn it.

This is an artist that has been on my KCIF wish list for a long time...even more so since I finally got to see him perform in Philly.
