Kids News

It's turning in to a musical Thursday, isn't it now? This announcement comes from Kansas City Irish Fest Kids Club President Mackenzie Magwire:
"We welcome the Lucky Charms. The band sings harmony for each other which has become their trademark. Their music is a mix of traditional Celtic, American folk, Celtic tunes with the Charms own flavor.

They are putting together a SPECIAL presentation just for the Children's area.

Watch for our final schedule, so you don't miss this band, and a big welcome to this talented group from the Kid's Club."

A heads up on that link up there to the band's website: it's a bit loud, so if you're at work you may want to turn your computer's volume down before you click.

Lucky Charms? Cartoon Cereal? Perfect for the kids area

no, not the kids cereal. The lucky charms as in a small ornament, such as one worn on a bracelet or an item worn for its supposed magical benefit, as in warding off evil. Once in awhile someone makes a comment like this and associate our name with the cereal, but that was never our intention. It seems odd that one would only think of the cereal instead of the other meaning of the name, but i suppose that is the curse of the pop culture we live in.
