Last year, KCIF 07, I was back stage talking to Davey and Leo from the Saw Doctors. They expressed a bit of concern that the KCIF crowd would not know their songs well enough to sing along. You know the songs I am talking about, Tommy K, N17. I reassured them that our guests are well read and very knowledgeable about their music. You do your research, right? Well, when the crowd busted out and started singing back to the Docs, Davey looks over at me standing next to the monitor board and has this huge smile. Smart crowds we have. With that said, it's time to get familiar with KCIF newcomer, Damien Dempsey. The song we will be studying is "Your Pretty Smile." See the video and the lyrics below. There will be a test on August 30 and 31 at around 6pm. Sing LOUD!

Damien Dempsey is an amazing singer/songwriter!!! I'm thrilled to discover he'll be playing your fest in August. I'll be making my travel plans tomorrow, to attend the fest. This is how good this guy is.
Check out his song, "It's All Good," which was also covered by Sinead O'Connor. I believe I've listened to it about 5,000 times now.
