Honey, I'm home.
Thanks to all the wonderful guest bloggers who so ably took the reins while I was high in the mountainous mountains getting some R & R. I hope you're not too disappointed to have me back. I missed you. And thanks to Irish Fest executive director Keli Wenzel, her husband John and their great kids for making the trek west with us and making the trip infinitely more fun.
Yesterday morning when I lit the fire in the 1909 wood stove in the kitchen of our cabin the temperature outside was a brisk 25º. Thursday morning we woke to a dusting of snow on the aspen rail fence. Afternoons averaged a sunny 70º with no humidity. All this in a log cabin, 14 miles up a dirt road at 10,000 feet in the San Juan mountains without another building for miles in any direction and no phone, no TV, no radio, no mail, no computer. So you know, I'm thrilled to be back in a large sweltering sauna of a city.
But on the positive side, I'm rested and ready to attack these last 83 days until Irish Fest with renewed vigor. So let's get at it! By which I mean let's think about discussing it over beers soon.

Hey Dan, welcome home. Just stopped by to say hi. James and I will be in town July 1st for a visit. Come by the Gaf for his bday party on July 5th. Yes, I know I just invited the whole blog crowd. That's ok. James is so homesick he'd love to see everyone. It's his 40th. Miss you guys. Can't wait to see you.
