Where To Volunteer, Part 7

You know what I'm wearing right now? Irish Fest t-shirt. Hanging on the hook over there? Irish Fest cap, hanging next to Irish Fest jacket. Out on the blogmobile? Irish Fest sticker. Know where I got 'em?

The Irish Fest Merchandise Tents

Well, technically, I didn't get mine at the merch tents. I work here so I don't really have to go there to buy stuff. But chances are if you see somebody walking down the street sporting KCIF apparel, they bought it at a KCIF official merchandise tent from a volunteer just like you. A volunteer who was smart enough to realize that this is a good gig. You work with Ron Einbender and Margaret Juhnke, who are two of our longest tenured, most knowledgeable, nicest, best looking staffers. You don't walk miles in the merch tents. You're not out there in there in the hot sun. You're not lugging around heavy loads. You're snug in your shady tent where people come to you.

You know what you're like? That guy who sits up on top of an Alp or a Himalaya and then the other guy climbs up there to ask you about the meaning of life, only they're asking you if that green t-shirt comes in a 2XL.

So, oh wise one, what is the secret to happiness? Easy. Sign up today to work in the merch tents.
