Thursday: The St. Patrick's Day Senior Ball is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cristo Rey School (Redemptorist) Gymnasium, 211 West Linwood at Broadway. Come dancing. Work can wait.

Saturday: The Elders' annual Hooley at the Uptown. Freshly returned from their tour of Ireland, the boys are rested (well, they will be by Saturday) and ready to rock the home town. With special guests Millish and the O'Riada dancers, it's a three for three Irish Fest preview. Get your details here.

Saturday: St. Patrick's Day Run/Walk in Westport. Get in shape for all that healthy behavior you plan on engaging in on Monday.

Saturday: Parades! Snake Saturday Parade, up North. Emerald Isle parade, out in Lee's Summit. Brookside St. Patrick's Day Warm-up Parade, up the street. Good thing you warmed up the marching muscles at that run this morning.

Sunday: More parades! Martin City St.Patrick's Day Parade, out South. Don't miss the Irish Idol finals. Shawnee St. Patrick's Day Parade, out West.
