It's an election year, people. Important issues ask, nay demand that we exercise our Constitutional duty and cast our votes. Fortunately, in this election our choice is clear. Only one candidate is worthy of our support. Only one name on the ballot stands out like a beacon in the darkness. Citizens, stand proudly and be heard! Vote, and vote today for the people's choice:

The Kansas City Irish Fest.

Yes, polls are open beginning today in the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association's second annual Visitors’ Choice Awards. Last year Irish Fest was named K.C.'s best festival or special event and we want to make it two in a row. The catch here, of course is that these are the Visitors' Choice Awards. I can't vote. Nor can you if you live in the five-county metropolitan Kansas City area. But if you're out there in the big world, or you have friends and family who are and who love Irish Fest, then vote, brothers and sisters! Go to www.VisitKC.com and be heard! Only one vote per computer will be accepted and polling will remain open until April 30th. Plus, one lucky voter will win a “Triple Play Getaway” package to Kansas City, which includes a two-night stay at the Sheraton Kansas City Sports Complex, plus four tickets each to the CoCo Key Water Park, Worlds of Fun and a Kansas City Royals game. I may move out of town just so I can enter.
