Ed Said #24
Speaking of presidents (see below), Ed Scanlon has some thoughts at week's end here in Tir na Blog.
Summary of an exciting week on the blog;
We have had great deal of fun this week and last with the blog. Just a few thoughts.
We know a great deal more about cows than we ever have or care to.
We understand that art is in the eye of the beholder.
I know that I'm not an artist, however I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express and am ready to do heart surgery.
We have some that think Danny resembles a Monkey.
We know the difference between a monkey and chimpanzee.
We know that I have a cotton picking heart. Perhaps I should see a cardiologist.
We know that I just don't get it. It being what? But that truly sounds like Barbara when I come home late from the pub.
We all have an idea of what it is like to be Irish, part Irish, married to Irish or just plain want to be Irish. We all love the process and we are all free to express our joy of being "Irish" in our own way. If it is wearing tweed jackets and wellies or a giant green fuzzy hat with a green glass of beer with a flashing light on it is your choice. As my dear departed father would say "by God this is my favorite shirt and I paid good money for it and I'm wearing it". And he did, frayed collar,stains and missing buttons. We hope to see you in your favorite shirt at the festival. Remember there will be police at the festival, but not the "fashion police".
We have learned a great deal about some segments of our Irish history.
We have learned a great deal about what to do during an ice storm in Arkansas.
Thank you all for participating on the blog. Keep your comments coming. The interaction is tremendous.
