2007 Kansas City Irish Fest headliners The Saw Doctors will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's Meteor Irish Music Awards in Dublin on February 15. The Meteors are Ireland's equivalent to the American Grammies. Previous winners of the honor include The Pogues, Clannad, Christy Moore, Bob Geldof, and U2's manager, Paul McGuinness.
From all of us here at KCIF, congratulations to Leo, Davy, Anto and all the Saw Doctors past and present on the award. Well done, lads!

Ah....Saw Docs at KCIF 2007....good times....good memories. That set is gonna prolly be on my list of top five Irish Fest moments forever. (Not that I have ever really sat down and thought about that top 5 list. I have more important things to do....like keeping up with Dan's ever changing profile on this blog.) ;)
