Ed Said #23

Irish Fest president Ed Scanlon was visited by artistic leprechauns in the wee hours of the morning. Funny, I was out running with Dugan near Ed's house at about 6:45 and I didn't see anything. Sneaky little bastards. Anyway, pay attention. Here's Ed:

"How many days till Irish Fest? Too damn many. Who called for snow?

So I wake up at the Presidential Green House to find that during the early morning hours (which could be as late as 10AM for me) an artist and his trusty 4 legged side kick stopped off to a bit of Irish cheer before I scrapped and shoveled the damn white stuff that was deposited during the night. I'm sure the attempt by the 4 legged intruder was to do art as well, but his yellow media that he used around my tires did not fare well in the snow.

The likes of snow, ice and bone chilling wind makes me think of warm evenings at Irish Fest. Standing by the Crown Center Fountains feeling the cool mist. I felt a cool breeze on my neck this morning, but we have a lot nicer breezes at Irish Fest. I could almost hear the sound of Gaelic Storm, Bara MacNeils, Millish and Van Morrison echoing across the grounds. Van Morrison? I told you it was bloody cold out there this morning.

I think tomorrow an announcement of a band announcement would be nice, but maybe we should just take the time tonight to plan for St. Patrick's Day.

Hope you are all staying warm."
