Okay, here it is Monday. You'll recall that on Friday I promised you a band announcement on Monday, today. But then I went ahead and made the announcement on Friday that I was going to make on Monday, because Tim Finn over at the Star, having been tipped off by one of our directors, made the announcement in his most excellent music blog on Friday afternoon, and since the announcement had been announced before I was going to announce it, it didn't make much sense to wait until Monday to do the announcing. So now it's Monday, and I don't have an announcement.
Or do I?
How about a return to the Kansas City Irish Fest this year by some neighbors of ours to the North, and some of the nicest folks and best players you're likely to hear anywhere. The Wild Clover Band of Kearney, Nebraska are back with us in '08 and we're very glad of it. They are a regional trad powerhouse and always entertaining. If you make it through a Wild Clover show without clapping, stomping, snapping, whooping or jumping clean out of your chair, there's something wrong with you.
And another piece falls into place for what's shaping up to be a stellar year at KCIF. More to come and some big things in the works.
