Wish List

Here on the 22nd of December, with a cold that's making my noggin feel like it's stuffed full of wet paper towels, I'm preparing to head out to get in some Christmas errands before the snow starts to fly this afternoon. So while I'm in the mood for gifting, here's what we at the helm of the 2008 Kansas City Irish Fest will be giving all you good boys and girls this year:

• Another stellar music and entertainment line up, with some old friends, some new discoveries and some surprises. More band announcements soon.

• More room to spread out and enjoy Irish Fest as we expand our grounds at Crown Center even further to accommodate all you great people who join us every year.

• Shorter lines at our beverage tents...and more tents.

• Expanded offerings of official Irish Fest merchandise.

• Streamlined and more affordable kid's activities.

• Another year of nonsense here at Tir na Blog. Okay, maybe this one is more in the coal-in-the-stocking category.

• Many more innovations, improvements, and surprises as we strive to keep KCIF Kansas City's best fest. And of course, you'll read about them first right here.

Now, with a hearty mug of warm Alka Seltzer Cold and Flu formula in hand, off I go. Wish me luck.

Ho ho ho.
