Resolved

So...how was your year? Did you get back in shape? Eat better? Call your mother more often? Stop biting your toenails? Follow through on any of your new year's resolutions? Me neither. But there's still time to get one thing right. Ring in the Irish New Year at Eddie Delahunt's Café &. I and 99 of my friends had an absolutely great time at the first annual Irish-time celebration at Eddie's last year and I highly recommend it.

The party starts at 4:00 PM (remember, this is on Irish time so the ball drops at 6:00 PM) on Monday the 31st. Your $60 cover charge covers everything you'll need to bid farewell to '07: food, drink, live music, party favors and the tradional champagne toast. Last year's shindig was booked up, according to my records, by St. Stephen's Day, so don't wait. Get over to Café & on 45th Street just east of State Line Road and get your tickets today. Call the Café with questions at (816) 753-3322.

I just report, man, I don't set the price. You'll have to take that up with Eddie.

For those of us not immersed in Irish culture, when exactly is St. Stephen's Day?

Hmm... let's see...
Open bar, GREAT food, GREAT company, GREAT music, safe non-smoking environment... I'm suprised Eddie's party isn't going for $100 bucks a head, least. Any idea what those tents cost to rent? Not cheap. There's nowhere else you will get that kind of quality party on New Year's Eve for less.

For most people these days... it's only 1 1/2 tanks of gas.
Make your RES now. Be there or be square!
