All of us at the Kansas City Irish Fest are green with delight today. Green because we've just learned that Irish Fest has been awarded the Mid-America Regional Council Green Event award in honor of our recycling initiative in 2007.
Though we're all collectively basking in the glow, the award really belongs to our Recycling Empress and 2007 Rookie Of The Year Natalie Smith, who joined us this year and changed the way we do business for the better. Congratulations to Nat and her small but stawart crew of volunteers. Is there a promotion from "Empress"?
