Yes, it's mid-December. Yes, there's snow on the ground and a half inch of ice expected tonight. But before you can blink a frozen icelash, winter will be melting away and St. Patrick's Day will be upon us. And the Kansas City area's biggest parade has announced their theme for this year's march down Grand Boulevard:
Growing up Irish; 35 years in Kansas City
Your Irish Fest team will be there of course, as we plan to have an entry in every one of Kansas City's roughly 237 St. Paddy's parades, including those in Brookside, Martin City, North Kansas City, Shawnee and whoever else will have us. We love a parade.

So the parade has been around for 35 years? What did Kansas Citians do before that? Where is Ed Said on this?
