...6, 5, 4, 3...

What a year for your Kansas City Irish Fest 2007 was. We saw record numbers come through our gates onto our expanded grounds. We saw an award-winning first year recycling effort. We witnessed the long awaited appearance of The Saw Doctors. We launched the new Irish Fest Grant and awarded money to deserving members of our community. We were voted Kansas City's Best Festival in just our 5th year. We poured more beer, ate more food, heard more music and had more fun than in any other previous Irish Fest in Kansas City. Yes, we had had some glitches along the way, as any growing child will have. Eddie Delahunt valiantly played an acoustic set when the generator supplying power to the Boulevard Stage blew out. Unexpected huge crowds on the Terrace Stage level forced a brief closing of access to that level on Saturday night. But with problems come learning and solutions and we'll be the better event in 2008 for it.

So for 2008, we resolve to improve what we could have done better and to better what we did well in 2007. We resolve to continue working to keep the Kansas City Irish Fest our city's best event. And we resolve to keep listening to you and your ideas. We do this for you, after all.
