In the wake of Eddie Delahunt's Irish New Year celebration being canceled for this year, you may want to consider heading to beautiful downtown Waldo this evening for your early partying. Ray Dunlea and crew will be ringing in the new year at 6:00 (midnight Dublin time...or Cork time, rather. Sorry Ray.) and rumor has it that Irish Fest board president Ed Scanlon will be leading the countdown. Rumor also has it that Ed will be be wearing the traditional diaper and top hat of the new year's baby, so you'll want to see that.
