The Book of Kells: Ireland’s Icon
Joanna Carraway, medieval specialist at Rockhurst University, will present the creation, function and contest through a visual history of the Book of Kells. This book is a unique icon of Medieval history, art and religion at the Irish Museum and Cultural Center in Union Station, 2 pm, Sunday Oct. 7. For ages 8 - 12, there will be Kells art coloring pages for a coloring contest providing a separate creative, educational activity for younger family members.
$5 IMCC members and college students,
$7.50 non-members, free for high school and younger
