Ten Don't-Miss Things This Year At Irish Fest, Part 8

8. Jimmy Crowley. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the best music at Irish Fest is only to be found on the main stages in the evenings. There are gems all over the fest, and few shine brighter than Jimmy Crowley, playing the cool, air conditioned Atrium Stage on Sunday at 2:30. Jimmy is a throwback, an old time Irish balladeer. Accompanying himself ably on the bouzouki, Jimmy sings the history of Ireland with a voice that's uniquely Cork and uniquely his own. He's forgotten more about Irish folk music and folklore than most of us will ever know. Plus he's a genuinely delightful guy.

Put a break from the afternoon sun on your Irish Fest schedule and check out Jimmy Crowley. You'll hear some great music and might just learn something.
