Gems

It's easy sometimes, among the Big Bands like your Elders, your Solas, your Saw Doctors in our line-up, to overlook some of the hidden gems. The musicians who might not be the reason you came, but will absolutely be the ones you'll remember.

Like Searson at the 2007 Irish Fest.
Joining us from sunny Ontario, Searson is, in that great Canadian tradition, a family band. Siblings Erin, Heather, Colleen and Mike Searson, joined by drummer Corey Zadorozny will be blazing away on fiddle, vocals, bass, electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and drums on over 200 gigs this year. As if that weren't enough, all three of the sisters are step dancers.

You've got just one chance to experience this great band live in Kansas City, Sunday September 2nd on the Terrace Stage at 4:00. Do yourself a favor and draw a big circle around them on your schedule.
