Irish Fest Children's Area coordinator Shawn Sullivan Warner has a special request for a special category of volunteers:

Teen Angels (or Volunteers) - The Children's Area Needs You!

Let's Face It Teens, it takes very special people to volunteer to make an entire area catering to 10,000 kids fun! The Children's Area of the Irish FEST NEEDS YOU! The Children's Area Team work to produce a special slice of the festival just for young People, and the entire Festival is dedicated to featuring family entertainment. The Festival offers a variety of interactive programs and activities including crafts, storytellers, musicians, balloon artists, games and dancers. Most of the programs for children require many volunteers as we are dedicated to the safety of our guests and we are dedicated to creating a fun experience for the children.

We learned over the past two years that you teens bring the KID FUN KNOW-HOW to the Area. And you know what??? We would love to have your group or organization. Do you need service hours? We can sign your service hour forms. Want to come down with your Chess Club, Cheerleading Group, Theatre Group? Please do, we will make special arrangements for your club or team in our area.

Thanks, Shawn. If I was a still teenager, I'd volunteer. Of course if I was a still a teenager, I might be too busy running from dinosaurs to volunteer.
