You can't swing a cat without hitting an ethnic festival in Kansas City this coming weekend.*
You'll be dodging telephone poles and big rocks tossed by burly men in plaid skirts at the Scottish Highland Games (featuring no fewer than five 2007 Irish Fest performers) on Friday and Saturday.
Friday through Sunday, munch on Spanakopita, sip some Ouzo and shout "Opa!" at the Greek Festival in Overland Park.
Festa Italiana, formerly co-tenants of our Crown Center home, move del nord to Zona Rosa this weekend.
The Slavic Festival is Friday and Saturday in Sugar Creek. Think there'll be sausage?
And though it's called the International Dragon Boat Festival, the flavor will be decidedly Chinese when that event takes place Saturday in Brush Creek on The Plaza.
*The management of the Kansas City Irish Fest does not endorse or condone cat swinging as method of locating festivals.

Dan,
Tenley Hanson, Atrium Stage manager, has booked all the entertainment for the Highland Games. Her band, The Shortleaf Band, is even playing. Double-Duty!
