Congratulations to the man behind the scenes behind the music here at Irish Fest HQ, and to the woman behind the man behind the...well, you get the idea. KCIF entertainment honcho Dave Shaughnessy and his lovely bride Laura are celebrating 10 years of marriage this very day. I was honored to have been a groomsman in Dave's wedding, a lovely ceremony followed by an elegant reception at the Midland Theater, which was marred only by some drunken members of the wedding party (who shall remain nameless) who engaged in a contest to see who could slide farthest down the long curving bannisters in the Midland lobby without falling off. I won.
Dave and Laura are the proud parents of three of the cutest kids that ever toddled and like wise parents everywhere will be celebrating their anniversary without them. Should you be inclined to offer a gift to the happy couple, according to the old internets the traditional 10th anniversary gift is tin or aluminum. Now let's see...something that comes in an aluminum container that Dave would enjoy...hmmm...
I'm joking of course. Dave, man of good taste that he is, only drinks Boulevard Wheat. Happy 10th, you two!
