Contests...

Hi! Cami here. I'm here to guest blog (I know I can't take Danny's place--he's the best!), and share with you some of the new schtuff at the 2007 Irish Fest--CONTESTS! There will be three new contests, open to amateurs only. Say it with me, “Ima ama choor.” Sounds Gaelic, doesn't it? Here’s the scoop--the three new contests will be for Best Irish Soda Bread, Best Knitting (or Crocheting), and Best Photography (with the theme “The Face of Ireland”). The prizes are uber-cool, the contests make sure that folks like me, I mean YOU, can enter (“Ima ama choor”), and it’s another thread in the fun fabric that is KC Irish Fest.

Did I mention that there’s no entry fee for any of the contests? Of course, since I work with the Irish Fest, I’m ineligible (“ima not enterin”). But everyone else? Bring it on!! The stuff you need to know is at http://www.kcirishfest.com/contests.php.

See you at the Irish Fest (only 90-some-odd days away)!
