Our extra-fantastic line up of music for the 2007 Kansas City Irish Fest is almost set. Almost as in literally one more spot to fill. We'll be posting a preliminary schedule soon so you can start planning your strategy for the weekend. You know, timing your beer runs, potty breaks, and whatnot so you don't miss any music.
When you do that schedule, make sure one of our local favorites is on your don't-miss list. The Kelihans have been with us since that first mud soaked year in Berkley Park. They stood ankle-deep in muck with rain dripping on their heads and played spontaneous sets for the few brave souls huddled in the big merchandise tents, winning our hearts in the process. These are genuinely good people and a genuinely rocking band. With, I might add with no offense intended to Brent Hoad of the Elders or Shane Borth of Flannigan's Right Hook, the best looking fiddler in any Irish rock band in Kansas City.
Did I mention it's only 120 days 'til Irish Fest?

You can get a sneak peek at this very talented fiddler (who also appears with "The Last Call Girls" and "The Lucky Charms" on a regular basis) on the back cover of the current issue of Midwest Irish Focus, available at your finer Irish establishments (and a Borders bookstore or two) around town.
Speaking of the lucky charms why aren't they on the line up?
Lucky Charms have not submitted to KCIF.
I've been wondering the same thing.
Are they on the Kelihans hospitality rider?
