Four Places At Irish Fest Where I Would Volunteer If I Were You
1. Children's Area. I believe that children are our future. Way more than old people. So helping children is important and also if you're a guy, chicks dig guys who help children. If you're not a guy, it's a good opportunity to meet the kind of guys who enjoy helping children. Know what we call that? Win win.
2. Site Hosts. You ever seen the freaked out look on a little baby's face when you pick up it's stroller and carry it up a flight of stairs? Pure gold. And as a SIte Host, you can mess with people's heads by telling them that Van Morrison is on the "Shamrock Stage" at 10:30 and then watch them try to find it. Good times. Seriously though, don't do that.
3. Recycling. It's important to save the Earth, because it's the only place we have to throw all our trash. And since recycling is our newest committee, nobody's screwed it up yet and you won't hear anybody going all "that's not the way we do it" on your ass.
4. Site Crew. "Hey, when's your volunteer shift? Seriously? Oh, dude you're totally going to miss Van Morrison on the Shamrock Stage. Me? I'm on the Site Crew. My shift was before Irish Fest opened and/or after it closes. I don't miss anything. So long, sucker!"
