Kansas City continues its slow transformation into Cork West this weekend when the great singer and folklorist Jimmy Crowley returns to town for another performance at Eddie Delahunt's Cafe &, Saturday April 7th. The show, with fellow Corkonian Mairtin de Cogain, is at 7:30 PM. If you've been to Eddie's (and if you haven't, then go) you know it's "cozy" and you'll know that you should arrive early.
I was at Jimmy's last show at the Cafe and he is a great performer and an amzing font of Irish folklore and musical history. He's like a singing encyclopedia.
It's two curly-headed Corkmen for the price ($10 family admision) of one. Don't miss it.
Cafe & is at 1811 W 45th, just east of State Line.
