KCIF Children’s Area Expansion and a Call for HELP!
The board of the KCIF Children’s Area is pleased to announce an expansion for that area. How do you expand an area that has such great talent like Jim Cosgrove – Mr. Stinky Feet, and Kaleidoscope, and magicians, and balloon guys, and that giant slide? Well, first, you put together the KCIFKC – KC Irish Fest Kids Club. Initial Members are: Mackenzie Magwire, Madeline Knopke, Nathaniel Groves, Joseph Knopke, Bailey Sullivan, Cassie Groves, Mikayla Gascich, and Maura Knopke. This very talented group of young people from all over the area (Lawrence to Raytown to Liberty) is helping guide the Children’s Area to more successes; you will be hearing from this special group of Kids as the Fest gets closer.
You will also be seeing information about a Children’s Stage, and one of our first partners will be Kansas City Young Audiences. Keep watching for more news about the exciting opportunities for Workshops and Storytelling from the talented group at KCYA.
How does all this great ‘stuff’ happen in the Children’s Area with 10,000 kids over 2 ½ days? Well, I am glad you asked, because it is due to great folks like you.
This is the most fun unpaid jobs you will ever have, but it is not without rewards. So, the young at heart, creative, organized, amazing, and just plain fun people should check the Children's Area box on the volunteer application. What types of jobs are there? Calling Bingo, managing a stage, reading stories, children’s director of activities, parade marching…in other words, we have it all!
It's the most fun you can have working at Irish Fest. Volunteer to join Shawn in the Children's Area today!
