You have a chance to get a sneak peek at the prize winning film The Wind That Shakes The Barley, and help the Jennifer Ireland Fund at the same time. Thursday, May 10th, the night before the "official" Kansas City premiere, a $100 ticket will gain you admittance to not only the film, but also a pre-show reception with music and food at the the theater, but also a post-show party at Kelly's, featuring the immoral...I mean immortal Eddie Delahunt. The event is described as "creative black tie", I hear. What exactly that means, I don't know. Maybe wearing a tie of a color other than black. Or wearing a black tie and carrying a trout. Use your imagination.
Rumor has it that some fella who acted in the movie might show up, too. I hope it's Murphy.
Tickets will be on sale soon at Browne's, Cafe &, The Trouser Mouse Bar and Grill in Blue Springs and Doherty and Sullivan in Lee's Summit.
