Where Should I Volunteer, Part 2: The Mass

Did you know that we have a big and getting bigger outdoor Catholic Mass at the Kansas City Irish Fest each year, right there under the Terrace Stage tent? Did you further know that the Mass, with all it's processions and pageantry doesn't just happen by Irish magic, or even by divine intervention? It, like everything that happens at Irish Fest, happens because good, caring people volunteer to make it happen.

The Mass is a little different than most volunteer areas. We only have one of them, so if the only time you can work is say Friday evening, the Mass probably isn't for you. On the other hand, if you'd like to help out in one of the fastest growing areas of Irish Fest and have your job completed by the time we open on Sunday, here's your chance. You'll also get a chance to work with the lovely and talented Kathleen Dalton who heads up our Mass commitee. I asked her to to give me the lowdown on her volunteer needs:

Total volunteers needed for Sunday Mass at Irish Fest: 60

Jobs the day of the Mass:
•Main coordinator for Mass volunteer before and during Mass: 1
•Greeters/Hand out programs: 10
•Coordinator for procession: 1
