Browne's All The Days

If you don't happen to be heading to the parade committee kick off lunch today, you know where you should go? Browne's at 33rd and Penn. I was there yesterday for Kerry's shepherd's pie. It was a near-religious experience. Food shouldn't be allowed to be that good. I didn't have a cookie, because I gave up desserts and sweets for Lent, but I had Deb wave one under my nose so I could smell it.

You'll also find more green stuff in that little shop than you'd think could possibly fit. I can't prove this, but I'd be willing to bet that you could outfit yourself head to toe, right down to your knickers in clothing that says "Ireland", "Irish" or some variation on it. If you can't find something to wear on St. Pat's Day at Browne's, you just aren't trying.

Head over there for lunch today and breakfast tomorrow. Smell a cookie for me.

How, pray tell, would you recognize a "religious experience" even a near one? -Benedict XVI
