Friday, Schmriday. Let's do a Tuesday band announcement, shall we? Yes, let's.
Joining the already stellar Boulevard Pub Stage line up is Beoga, coming to us from the North of Ireland. Beoga (beoga: lively, animated) is Liam Bradley on piano, Niamh Dunne on vocals and fiddle, Eamon Murray on bodhran, Darrian McKee on button box and Sean Óg Graham on button box, guitar, bouzouki and mandolin.
Are they any good?
"A stunning band." -Bill Margeson, The Chicago Irish-American News and Live Ireland.com
"Hard work and smart moves are the order of the day for soon to be supergroup Beoga..."-Eddie Creaney, Irish Music Magazine
"Such kite-flying celebration is a rare thing of beauty."- Siobhan Long, The Irish Times
"Both lovely and mad in equal turns, subtlety exists beside total mayhem. For a band that is just over two years old, Beoga's music has the authority of master craftsmen, unafraid to take chances and walk on traditional music's wild side..."-John O'Regan, Irish Music Magazine
I'm sold. Beoga will do shows both Saturday and Sunday nights.
