It's an exciting week here at Kansas City Irish Fest HQ. And not because I got new boxers, which I did and they're fierce comfy. Why is it an exciting week? Because this coming Thursday is our first meeting with the entire 2007 planning committee.
The board of directors of Irish Fest never really stops meeting. We meet at the drop of a hat. We spend so much time together that we get sick of looking at each other. At least that's what my fellow directors are always telling me. You know, now that I think about it, it's funny how they only tell me that.
But when the whole committee gathers, well then you've got something special. That's when the rubber hits the road. When the bacon hits the frying pan. When the committee hits the bar. That's when things really start happening, Irish Fest-wise.
So if you happen to be a person who's supposed to be at that meeting, remember that it's not where it usually is this month, it's in that other place. Remember to bring all the energy and enthusiasm that makes Irish Fest so great. Remember to bring all the good ideas that have been rattling around in your head since September. Remember to brush upon your Irish trivia because there will be prizes.
Remember to get me a beer while you're up.

Mmmmm - love the smell of Irish Fest in January. Smells like.... beer!
Would that be a Pale Ale or a Stout?
What do you mean "or"?
