A day or two ago I mentioned an unconfirmed (and subsequently debunked) rumor that 2007 Kansas City Irish Fest performers the Glengarry Bhoys might be playing a gig at Record Bar in March. I can now confirm that the Bhoys (and ghirl) will instead be playing WJ McBride's out by the Kansas Speedway on March 5th.
Yes, it's a Monday. And yes, McBride's isn't exactly conveniently located for the bulk of our city's population. But this band is worth a little extra effort. So work on it. Maybe we'll charter a bus. Share a cab? Get a room at the Great Wolf Lodge across the parking lot? You won't be disappointed. And then you'll be able to be one of those cool "in-the-know" people and sing along with M'en Va A La Fontaine in your Glengarry Bhoys T-shirt when they're here for Irish Fest.

Okay, we're all riding with Sarah. I call shotgun!
I saw the Bhoys at the Record Bar last year and was floored by the fiddling of Miranda. Whoa! She can play. And while we are on the subject, Miranda is beautiful! Never seen such a sight.
Why you gotta plan the fun outings when I'm in Ireland?! Wait... I'll be in Ireland. Never mind. Carry on.
