If you have a tune in your heart or some other part of your body and can't figure out how to get it out of there, I have help. The Kansas City School Of Irish Music begins a second semester of classes next week. There will be a class for beginning tin-whistle students at 7:00 pm on Mondays in the Irish Museum and Cultural Center at Union Station. And fiddle classes will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesdays. Tin whistle classes begin Monday January 15. Fiddle classes, taught by Dave Agee, begin Wednesday January 17.
Classes are open to all, even you. 10 sessions. The cost: Individual - $120, IMCC-members - $110, Family groups $100/student. Individual lessons on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, mandolin and banjo will also be available.

About The Instructors:
Flute and whistle instructor Turlach Boylan grew up on a farm in County Derry. He began playing Irish music in earnest on the flute at the age of 16 studying with County Antrim flute master John Kennedy. Turlach has lived in the US since 1989, and toured extensively with the traditional band Glen Road, performing for audiences of all ages.
Fiddle teacher David Agee grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and got his first guitar at age ten. He started playing Irish music in 1980 with a band named Talisman, going on to play and record with groups like Scartaglen and Blackthorne. Dave has been featured on Gerald Trimble's, "First Flight", on Tom Schroeder's, "An Artistic Autoharp" and on Jim Cosgrove's series of children's CDs. He plays in The Shoe String Band , which released their new CD, "A Box of Fiddle Tunes". David plays fiddle, mandolin, tenor banjo, guitar, bodhran, and bones.
