Or weekly maybe. At any rate, attend one this week.
The O'Riada Academy of Irish Dance in conjunction with the Kansas City Feis planning committee is hosting said ceili this coming Sunday, January 14th from 2:00-6:00 PM. I don't know about you, but when I hear "O'Riada Ceili", I automatically steer the old Honda for the Redemptorist School gym, site of many of my most humilating moments as an unathletic grade schooler. Do not make that mistake. This event will be held at the Shawnee Knights of Columbus hall, located at 5900 King Street, which itself is located at the corner of Johnson Drive and King, right across from St. Joseph Church.
A small, barely noticable donation will be requested at the door. Live entertainment will be provided by the band Dog Tree whose members include Richelle Basgall and Victor Dougherty, late of the now defunct Shenanigans. Food, pop, and delicious, nutritious Boulevard Beer will be available too, as well as an auction full of stuff you need.
Be sure to get there early so you don't miss Feis honcho Gordie Grohmann performing his interpretive dance on the theme of Irish economic reform and the impact of the European common currency. And if anybody has a spare green unitard, size XL that Gordie could borrow, please contact him directly.

I have a spare kelly green, thong, tight fitting spandex number and tri-color leg warmers that would look just smashing on Gordo!
