At the final meeting for the year of the board of directors of the Kansas City Irish Fest on Friday night, we elected our new slate of officers. Effective January 1, 2007 these able folks will lead us through a two year term covering the 2007 and 2008 Fests and we could be in no better hands. Please welcome our new board officers:
President: Ed Scanlon
Vice President: Patti Aylward
Secretary Mary Alice Beebe
Treasurer: Ronan Collins
Directors: Rory O'Connor, Erin Kiekbusch, Ed Follis and Dan Regan
As for me, as a lame duck President through the end of the month, I'm going to busy myself declaring national parks, naming airports after myself and handing out pardons to criminals like they were candy corn on Halloween. Should you, scofflaw that you are, require some such pardon, just let me know. A slight monetary contribution to my presidential library building fund may be requested.
