I had a call very late Saturday night from Máire Egan of The Bridies who was "having a cup of tea" with our newly minted Kansas City Irish Fest board member Erin Kiekbusch in Orlando, Florida of all places. Sadly, as the call came in at 1:30 AM (you do the math as to what time this tea party was in Florida) I'd already dozed off. But Máire left a lovely message in which she says hello and best wishes to everybody at Irish Fest, which includes you.
As for Erin, I knew we'd made the right choice in picking a board member who is so proactive as to travel cross country just to further our relationships with the Irish music community. In the middle of the night. In a pub. It's selfless dedication to KCIF like this that has led Erin to the upper limits of Irish Fest leadership. Well done, young grasshopper.

Nope....just me and Maire :-) Gosh that was funny how we ran into each other....and when we put it all together it was like we had found a long lost cousin or something. Good times and sweet gal that Maire!
