Get Out Of Here

We really, really want you to go to Ireland for free. It keeps us up at night, we want you to go so bad.

Don't get me wrong, it's not that we don't like having you around. And we do want you to come back. But we really want you to win a trip. So you know about the raffle, where we're not only going to get you there, but we're also going to put you up in a swanky resort. Only one problem with that: there's only one grand prize, so only one trip, one swanky resort package. That just won't cut it.

So let's increase the odds, shall we? Let's give away another trip. Only this time, instead of throwing in a swanky resort package, let's throw in a band.

For the second year in a row, The Kansas City Irish Fest, The Elders and radio stations Mix 93.3 and Star 102 are giving you the chance to win a spot on The Elders' tour of Ireland next March. Here how it's going to work. Listen to those stations beginning Monday, August 28th for your chance to qualify. You'll win tickets to Irish Fest when you do. And I know you will. Use those tickets and come to Irish Fest on Saturday night. You and your 19 fellow finalists will be escorted backstage where you'll meet the band. We'll then put the names of all 20 of you lucky folks in a hat and the band will draw 5 out. Those luckier 5 will then take the stage and be given a cookie. Not just any cookie, but a Browne's Irish Market cookie, the best cookie in the world. That's a pretty good prize right there. Maybe we'll just stop with the cookie. No? Okay, well one of those great cookies will be a little greater than the rest. Baked inside one of them will be an Irish coin. I bet you can guess the rest.

Colleene Watkins won this last year. How about you win it this year? Sound good? Turn that radio on, man! Your chance to qualify starts August 28 and runs through September 1st, right up until we open Irish Fest. And you might want to head into Browne's at 33rd and Penn and start eating some cookies for practice. Couldn't hurt.
