Cannes'd Ham

Fuchsia band frontman Máirtín de Cógáin is at this very moment basking in the warm glow of celebrity at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France. He's there for the premiere of his film The Wind That Shakes The Barley. The film, about the Irish Civil War, is in the running for the "Palme D'Or", which means, if I remember my high school French correctly, "The Big Kahuna".

The multi talented Máirtín has promised a quick report of his certain success, so I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, you can get a peek at the film's trailer here. Click on "Coming Soon" and then "The Wind That Shakes The Barley" and then "Trailer". Keep a sharp eye and you'll see a clean shaven Máirtín in a few scenes.

He's the one with the gun.
