Pub Quiz 2!

This coming Monday, April 17 you and your big brain, along with your equally big-brained friends need to get to the Gaf on Wornall in Waldo for the second monthly Kansas City Irish Fest/Boulevard Brewery/Drink: Your Guide To The Kansas City Bar Scene Pub Quiz. Because sometimes all that knowledge you're packing up there can push other information out, I'll remind you what exactly we're talking about.

You put together a team with from one to six of your buddies from the Mensa meeting. You come to The Gaf at 7122 Wornall Rd. in Kansas City. Think of a clever name for your team and be there at 6:30 to register that cleverly named team. Order a round of Boulevard beer, at special prices. The quiz starts at 7:00. You and your team work together to answer questions on topics ranging from current events to ancient history to pop culture. The questions are read aloud by Genius Quizmaster George Vial, the Pride of Donegal. The answers are written down. Scores are tallied by the Lovely Linh, The Pride Of George Vial. You order another round of Boulevard, thoughtfully offering to buy one for any Irish Fest presidents that may happen to be hanging about. You answer more questions correctly than the other cleverly named teams, and you win money! You win prizes! You win glory! You win free tickets to Irish Fest! (there are also prizes for the second and third place teams, but you needn't concern yourself with that.) Best of all you qualify for the Finals, to be held at Irish Fest in September. You win there, and your team pockets $500.

One team has qualified. Five spots remain. The tension is building. Better order another round of Boulevard. And, hey while you're up...

man...the Petrie family would be all over this, but we already have plans that evening. Maybe next time. Really, we should do this. I know my dad and my brother could really kick some ass...they are good.
