News Item:

"Riverdance founder Moya Doherty and her husband, John McColgan, have purchased a €20.29 million waterfront estate at Martha's Vineyard in the US, according to the Boston Globe. The sale of the 4.7-acre property broke records on Martha's Vineyard, a well-established island off the coast of Massachusetts situated roughly 75 miles from Boston. The pair will likely use the home primarily for summer holidays. The estate includes a 3,900-sq-ft two-story house with four fireplaces and five bedrooms, each with a private bath. In addition to a boathouse and guest apartment, the estate includes a 300-foot private beachfront and a deep-water dock. Doherty and McColgan, the creators of Riverdance, the world-wide phenomenon seen live by 18 million people in 30 countries, are estimated to be worth more than €110 million. The Edgartown Harbour estate was purchased from investment banker David Hedley and his wife Michelle, who bought the property for $2.4 million in 1989."

The fools. Why, right here at the Kansas City Irish Fest we have a lovely thatched roof cottage, and all the Irish dancing you'd ever need...and no Michael Flatley. And It's all available for a mere $10 a day.
