Use Your Head
St. Joseph Medical Center and Yellow Cab will once again this year provide safe rides home from area bars and restaurants for those who've celebrated St. Patrick's Day perhaps a bit overzealously. The St. Paddy's Wagon is in its 18th season of free cab rides home during which time it has provided more than 5,425 rides. The free rides (up to $25) are available from 3 p.m. to midnight and covers a wide territory from the River Market south to I-435 and between Mission Road and Prospect. This service area includes the River Market, downtown KCMO, the Historic Jazz District, 39th Street Corridor, Westport, Country Club Plaza, Brookside and Waldo. In Westport, revelers can catch St. Paddy's Wagon at the Yellow Cab stand at Westport and Mill Streets, adjacent to Chili's. Outside Westport, revelers can call 816-943-3949 for a cab. Do yourself a favor, print and clip this handy reminder and stick it in your wallet before you head out on St. Patrick's Day. We need you around for Irish Fest in September!
