The Elders on St. Patrick's Day

There's a lot going on this week, obviously, for those of an Irish mind. And if you're reading this, I think it's safe to assume that includes you. But after the parade, my guess is that there's no bigger party than the one being thrown by long time Irish Fest favorites, the Elders. Their 4th Annual Hoolie at the Uptown Theater will be rattling the windows and shaking the doors for sure. Those soon-to-be-shaken doors open 6:30 and showtime is 7:30. The Elders take the stage 8:15. They will be preceded by the sea of bouncing curly heads that is the award winning O'Riada Academy Irish Dancers.

As New York's Dara Records says, "The Elders, Kansas City's gift to Celtic rock, are ready for national exposure and will be all over the festival circuit this summer. Definitely a band with a lot to say and the personnel to say it."

Don't miss the chance to see their biggest show of the year...at least until they take the Irish Fest stage Labor Day weekend.

And, when you get home, KCPT TV in Kansas City will air "The Elders. Live at the Gem" at 11:00 PM that same night.
