KCIF President Dan Regan has news from the Board:
Our good friend Bob Sullivan is stepping down from his position as director of KCIF, effective immediately.
Bob's contributions to the success and growth of this festival from it's earliest days can't be overstated. His passion, insight, innovative thinking and great humor will be sorely missed on the board.
Bob will continue to be involved in the Festival as a major sponsor and on the entertainment committee. His cowboys boots will be hard to fill.
And attempting to fill those cowboy boots...
Rory O'Connor, of Dublin and Walton Construction has agreed to fill the seat vacated by Bob Sullivan. Rory is the generous benefactor behind the pub front and this year's wonderful thatched roof cottage, as well as financial sponsorship of KCIF through Walton Construction.
Rory has also served as a founder and President of the Celtic Fringe, organizer and host of the local tour of the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, and a long time volunteer, organizer and advisor to Irish Fest and all things Irish in Kansas City.
He brings a strong sense of commitment to our city and community at large. He will be a huge asset to us as we continue growing KCIF into the premier Irish Fest in the country.
Please join all the directors as we say a warm go raibh míle maith agat to
Sully for a job well done and fíorchaoin fáilte to Rory as he officially
joins the Irish Fest family.
