The final prizewinner in the Irish Heritage essay contest has been announced. From Franklin, Wisconsin, it is sixth-grader Lauren Hoppa. Lauren has been Irish Dancing for 5 years, which has included dancing at Milwaukee’s Irish Fest for 4 years. This year Lauren will be competing at the first Kansas City Feis on Saturday. She will be attending the festival with her parents, but not with Tanner, her 7-year old Golden Retriever.
