Keeping up with County Mayo, the featured county in the Heritage Area, there's a story from the front page of this week's Connaught Telegraph that you need to know. COUNTRY FM DJ Ian McKeever has created a world record by scaling the slopes of Croagh Patrick seven times in a 19-hour period. I scaled it twice in a 12-month period myself, though I didn't bother with that ice business.
