Yesterday we said a tearful goodbye to Davey and Carrie as they move on to greener pastures...or at least pastures where they won't be on duty 27 hours a day Irish Fest weekend. Today let's meet one of the three new members of the festival leadership team.
Allow me to introduce Julie Weeks.
Julie is the Marketing Communications Manager at our beloved Boulevard Brewing
Company. She oversees all brewery communication which includes employee
updates, media relations and social media as well as playing a role in
other Boulevard marketing efforts. Throughout her tenure at Boulevard, Julie has
managed tours and events, brewery hospitality and community relations
before settling in to her current duties. She has been a part of the Irish
Fest family in one way or another since its inception. In the early years, she hosted
our staff meetings at the brewery, making sure no one went thirsty–no easy task considering our staff– and also created
and manned the Boulevard apparel booth on the Irish Fest grounds. She has also worked as a vendor at
other merchandise stands annually and still always makes time to enjoy some fun
and to celebrate her Irish heritage over Labor Day weekend.
When Julie is not at the brewery, or working on the fest, you can most
likely find her hanging with her husband Bill and friends enjoying a beer
(guess what brand) around town, riding her bike, or at the dog park with her two
appropriately named dogs for her current and new positions, Barley and Dublin.
We're so excited to have her at the big green boardroom table and look forward to seeing how her talent, experience and energy will make your Irish Fest weekend a perfect one. Please join us in welcoming her to the board of directors. Her five year term officially begins January 1st.
