Fest Day!

Irish Fest opens in about 10 hours and before it does I want to dispel a rumor I've heard going around.

It  isn't hot.

We were working down there yesterday getting set up and it was downright comfortable. Something about the way the buildings in Crown Center are situated makes for a constant breeze through the square. Add to that the spray off the fountains and what have you got? Air conditioning, friend. And of course the park is grassy and shady and cool, like a....well, like a park. When the sun set it was really pleasant everywhere on the grounds.

So come down! Only $5 gets you in tonight and as has become our custom, we'll be rocking the Boulevard Stage all evening with Rattle and Hum, Whiskey of The Damned and Skerryvore as we kick off 2013. If your tatses lean more toward the trad, you'll find plenty to love, too up on the shaded Miller Lite Stage with Seamus Kennedy, The Step Crew and We Banjo 3.

Come find me and say hello, will ya?

Fest Day!
